Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) is a vacuum deposition method used to produce thin films of various materials. It supplies material gases containing the components of the desired thin films onto the substrate material heated in a reaction tube made of quartz, and deposits films by chemical reactions on the substrate surface or gas-phase reactions.
